Our Story
From Environmental Stewardship to Community Color​
After 35 years with the California EPA, where he built cross-border partnerships between the U.S. and Mexico, Alex Rodarte retired in 2020 — only to realize he wasn’t ready to slow down. A part-time job at ACE Hardware reignited his love for helping people with home projects, and soon he began dreaming of owning a store of his own.
When Kelly-Moore Paints closed, Alex reached out to Benjamin Moore about opening a store in Elk Grove. What began with a phone call turned into an exciting journey to launch The Paint Connection.
Today, The Paint Connection proudly serves the Elk Grove and greater Sacramento community — offering premium Benjamin Moore paints, expert advice, and genuine local service.​
